I work with destinations, tourism businesses, and visitor-facing organisations to assess and improve accessibility across physical experiences and digital platforms.
This includes on-site assessments and user testing of accommodation, attractions, transport, and experiences, from initial planning through to implementation. I provide guidance on inclusive communication, content structure, and accessibility information on websites, as well as universal design (WCAG) for digital platforms.
Deliverables include internal reports with prioritised recommendations, action plans, and concrete suggestions for improving visitor information and guest communication.
The goal is not perfection, but measurable progress that helps more people plan, visit, and participate with confidence.

I produce commissioned written and visual content for destinations, tourism boards, cruise lines, and visitor attractions, based on first-hand presence and structured testing on location.
This includes website-ready destination content, accessibility-focused visitor information, and practical guest communication about accessibility, as well as editorial features and assignment-based reporting.
All content is tailored to the client’s audience, brand voice, and communication goals.
Photography is integrated as part of the storytelling, providing practical, authentic imagery that supports planning and expectation management.
All content is available in Norwegian and English.

I deliver talks, webinars, and presentations for industry events, conferences, and internal gatherings.
Topics range from inclusive communication and visitor experience design to what accessibility means in practice, and why it strengthens both business performance and brand.
It clarifies what accessibility and inclusion mean in practice, who benefits, and why inclusive thinking is both good business and good visitor experience. I focus on realistic ways organisations can improve communication, confidence, and accessibility over time.
I also offer motivational talks drawing on solo travel and lived experience of disability, exploring themes of perceived courage, uncertainty, resilience, and personal growth in both professional and personal contexts.
Engagements range from keynote presentations and conferences to in-house sessions.

I’m Adele Heidenreich, an inclusive tourism consultant working with destinations and visitor-facing companies to improve accessibility, inclusion, and the quality of visitor information.
I bring together lived experience, on-site testing, and professional analysis to help destinations, hotels, cruise lines, attractions, and tourism organisations communicate more clearly and create experiences that work for a wider range of visitors.
Having visited more than 70 countries and lived on four continents, I approach each project with a practical, solution-focused perspective grounded in real-world use.
As a traveller who uses crutches, accessibility is an everyday reality. That perspective informs everything I do, from how experiences are evaluated to how information is structured and presented.
If you are looking to improve accessibility, strengthen visitor communication, or commission professional content for your destination or company, I would be happy to hear from you. Get in touch to discuss your needs and explore how we can work together to help your services reach more travelers.
